Homework submission for DL students
Homework is generally due one week later than for on-campus students.
Regular homework can be submitted electronically to Cindy at cindyr@optics.arizona.edu or by fax to (520) 626-4514. Other submissions can be made directly to the Teaching Assistant at optomech@optics.arizona.edu.
Late submissions will not be accepted without special permission.
Technical Reports require peer review. On campus, we handle this by exchanging papers between students.
Distance Learning students must find some peer and request a review. The posted review forms should be used. The goals of the review are to uncover weakness and to build strength in the technical writing.
Lectures:
- Class notes are available for download at this website.
- Classes are recorded and can be viewed by downloading the video as above. Local students should see Prof. Burge for the password.
Objectives:
In general, each class will cover several topics. However, a few key objectives are identified. From each class ALL STUDENTS are expected to achieve the identified objectives in the form of:
- K : Knowledge – Achieve functional knowledge of the subject identified
- S : Skills – Able to apply the particular skills to real problems
