Born out of necessity because we were not finding any algorithm robust enough for unwrapping our experimental data, we created our own and verified its performance.

In this article I am describing how optics can be used to simulate the information that will be perceived by a radar system looking at a specific target. With this system, you don’t need neither the radar nor the target to obtain the information.

The article demonstrates that radar measurement can be reproduced using near IR light, by scaling both the size of the object (battle ship) and the wavelength.
