OPTI 421/521: Introduction to Optomechanical Engineering
Optomechanical engineers convert optical designs into physical products. This course covers the basic principles of optomechanical engineering, including optics mounting, alignment, thermo-mechanical disturbances, drawings, specifications, and fabrication.
OPTI 423/523: Optomechanical design and analysis
This course focuses on design and analysis of optomechanical systems, from first order design and error budgeting through detailed analysis and preparing for fabrication, assembly, and test.
