US Army DEVCOM C5ISR RTI (formerly NVESD)
Showcase Table 31
US Army C5ISR Research and Technology Integration (RTI) Directorate, formerly known as Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD), is an Army R&D research lab that develops electro-optical infrared sensors and display components (e.g. optics, detectors, displays, etc.) for the warfighter. The lab is located in Fort Belvoir, Virginia which is thirty minutes outside our nation’s capital, Washington DC.
We are looking for optical engineers and physicists to join the optics group. We have both full time positions available as well as summer internships. As part of the team, you’d learn about electro-optical systems and directly contribute to the design of state of the art sensors architectures. The Army is currently in the process of modernizing its platforms and equipment which includes developing emerging sensor technology. At RTI, you can help shape the Army’s next generation of sensors and prepare our warfighters for future engagements. Our team has decades of design experience and supports a multitude of sensor developments to include: soldier borne Night Vision Goggles, thermal weapon sights, airborne long range thermal cameras, and vehicle mounted sensors and displays such as the M1 tank and Bradley fighting vehicle. In addition to these, we also design high altitude sensors, soldier heads up displays and hyperspectral systems. New hires will be exposed to all of these and will be able to pursue their areas of interest. If this sounds interesting to you, please stop by our booth at the Industrial Affiliates Showcase or send an email to the address below to schedule an interview:
