Simple Plate (SiP)

Material/Equipment:

• Stabilizing plate
• Plastic sheet
• Drill press
• Bits set

Purpose

• Hold the lenses and magnet and close the tubes.

Procedure:

• Use a bit (circular cutting blade, like that from a hole saw) to cut a circular shape piece with the diameter of 2.5’’ from a big plastic sheet. There should be a hole of diameter 0.3’’ at the center of the plate after cutting.
• Repeat the previous steps to make multiple items.
• Drill a 0.5’’ hole over the center hole on the plate (use the already drill to locate the correct bit location).
• Repeat the previous steps to make multiple items.
