Camera

Material

  • Camera Plate
  • Screw
  • Plastic tube
  • Washers (3 ‘‘ outside diameter)
  • BPP
  • Couplers

Purpose

  • To hold the camera, and align it.

Procedure

  • Cut two 6cm long tubes from a long PVC pipe (3’’ diameter). The length has to equal to the twice back focal distance of the lens.
  • Place and stable a BPP on one end of one the tube.
  • Stable a lens (7cm focal length) on a 3’’ diameter washer by Epoxy so that the curve surface faces downward.
  • Then glue the washer on one end of one tube.
  • Align the camera to get the perfect centered image (using laser beam as an object). Use 2 plastic screws to stable the camera plate on the BPP. Put a coupler at the back of the laser model to balance. Glue one washer at the end to cover the back.

Expectation

  • The camera has to be at the center of the small plastic plate, and glued strongly. The lens has to be at the center of the washer. All the dimensions have to be correct.
