As an Optics Manufacturing Intern, you will embark on an 11-week exciting journey, working on impactful projects that allow you to develop essential engineering skills and contribute to meaningful advancements in our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical design using SolidWorks.
  • Develop a basic understanding of the strength of materials, optics, and principles of kinematics.
  • Gain experience with dimensional metrology, including the use of micrometers, height gauges, etc.
  • Utilize MatLab or other programming languages.
  • Acquire a basic understanding of CNC machining.
  • Run experiments and document the results.

Preferred Majors or Coursework

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Physics

Skills and Qualifications

  • Solid education in mathematics and physics.
  • Familiarity with optical instruments and experience with data taking and analysis.
  • Proficiency in software programming.
  • Basic understanding of CNC machining.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
