As an Optics Manufacturing Intern, you will embark on an 11-week exciting journey, working on impactful projects that allow you to develop essential engineering skills and contribute to meaningful advancements in our products and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical design using SolidWorks.
- Develop a basic understanding of the strength of materials, optics, and principles of kinematics.
- Gain experience with dimensional metrology, including the use of micrometers, height gauges, etc.
- Utilize MatLab or other programming languages.
- Acquire a basic understanding of CNC machining.
- Run experiments and document the results.
Preferred Majors or Coursework
- Mechanical Engineering
- Physics
Skills and Qualifications
- Solid education in mathematics and physics.
- Familiarity with optical instruments and experience with data taking and analysis.
- Proficiency in software programming.
- Basic understanding of CNC machining.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
