POC and request an interview: Brian Kellermeyer

brian.d.kellermeyer.civ@army.mil

C5ISR RTI equips the Warfighter with advanced electro-optic and infrared (EO/IR) sensors. RTI is “the U.S. Army’s sensor developer.” Its workforce is comprised of highly-trained scientists and engineers whose goal is to foster the development of component technologies (eg optics, detectors, electronics, displays, etc).

As a member of the Imaging Technologies branch, the new hire will be placed in a small team to provide program support and is expected to contribute to current mission development efforts. These tasks include working with the Warfighters to understand and derive requirements, create/review detailed optical designs and models, conduct lab testing and lead sensor procurement activities. Other essential job functions include providing technical support and expertise to other RTI branches, other military services and other government agencies.

Serve as a physicist or optical engineer in the Imaging Technology Branch and support the development of electro-optical imaging sensors. The member’s primary duty will be to advise and provide engineering support through the development of sensor models and optical designs. There may be hands on lab work as needed. The applicant should have some familiarity with lens design software. Other duties include leading technology maturation programs, developing new products and demonstrating them to relevant stakeholders, providing acquisition support to Army procurement offices, preparing technical papers and presenting findings at conferences.
