SOCk Camping Trip 2018 Information

It’s that time of year again. SOCk is hosting the annual camping trip and we want you to come!
The trip this year consists of some overnight camping on Mt. Graham, and a tour of the Large Binocular Telescope.

What We Provide:
Transportation
-There will be two UA vehicles leaving campus on Friday afternoon, and two leaving Saturday morning. There are 14 available seats each day, so RSVP as soon as possile to save a spot. You can also drive a personal vehicle to the camposite.
-We will be providing transportation to and from the Large Binocular Telescope. Personal vehicles aren’t allowed, only University.
Food…Sort of:
-SOCk will be providing TWO meals during the trip, Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast. All other food and drinks you will need to bring yourself.

What You Need to Bring;
Camping Gear
-You will need to bring your own camping gear. If you don’t have camping gear you can rent gear from the REC center (we advise you do this soon) or borrow gear from someone who has extra. Don’t let this be a roadblock, we can definitely find gear for you.
Food
-SOCk is providing two meals, which means if you plan on eating any more you’ll need to bring food with you. Keep in mind we have access to an open fire, so if you can’t cook it over a fire you might want to leave it for another day.
