{"id":2,"date":"2017-09-19T18:09:51","date_gmt":"2017-09-20T01:09:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/live-optics-wp.pantheonsite.io\/sguha\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2022-11-23T12:15:24","modified_gmt":"2022-11-23T19:15:24","slug":"research-projects","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.optics.arizona.edu\/sguha\/research-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"Research"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our group\u2019s research puts together <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">quantum optics<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, i.e., using quantum mechanical descriptions of classical and non-classical light and light-matter interfaces, and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">quantum information theory<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, i.e., using mathematical tools from quantum extensions of information, estimation, control, signal processing theories, to find ways to approach fundamental precision limits of photonic based information processing\u2014with applications to communications, optical sensing and imaging, and quantum computing (on information encoded in the photon).
