If given a heads-up in advance, I can usually fit in a chat at some other time.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note: <\/strong>OPTI 646 is taught live in-person. Video and slides will be posted but are not meant to substitute for live attendance.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Grading<\/strong>: Class participation (30%), Reading Assignments (30%), Student Presentation or Term Paper (40%). In place of exams, each student is required to give a Lecture or submit a Term Paper on a topic related to Quantum Information Science.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Prerequisites:<\/strong> A solid knowledge and understanding of graduate level quantum mechanics is essential, as developed in, for example, OPTI\/PHYS 570A \u201cQuantum Mechanics\u201d, or equivalent.
