The Large Optics Shop is the facility in which all large scale optical fabrication and testing operations occur. The facility contains several computer controlled polishers (CCP), two large test towers, two large gantry cranes, and several other mechanical and optical equipment used in support of major projects. This temperature controlled facility ensures optimal results when testing optics in the two test towers minimizing temperature variations that cause drift.<\/span><\/p>\n
