Small Optics Shop

The Optical Engineering and Fabrication Facility (OEFF) Small Optics Shop is where conventional and novel optical fabrication techniques are used to support the current OEFF project and student research for the College of Optical Sciences (OSC). The OEFF team currently employs four opticians with more than 75+ years of combined experience with optical fabrication and testing. The Small Optics Shop houses five Strausbaugh Polishing/Lapping machines and a 4-Axis Computer Controlled Polisher used for smoothing experiments.
