The object can be a target, source, detector, or any object using the 2D viewer. Click edit to bring up the properties editor. Choose &#8220;Replace A Piece&#8221; from Menu Items and click go. When the &#8220;Replace A Piece&#8221; wizard comes up, choose &#8220;One Dimensional Grating&#8221; and click next. When the next panel comes up choose &#8220;Fourier Series &#8211; Trapezoid&#8221; and click next. If you experience problems with this increase your sampling by decreasing the distance between the samples &#8220;X Sampling&#8221; and &#8220;Y Sampling&#8221; in the properties of the object. However decreasing these values too much can cause your computer to slow down considerably and even freeze when you try to add, multiply, or replace a piece.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Angle:<\/h3>\n<p>Angle in degrees of the sides of the trapezoid.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1380\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.optics.arizona.edu\/milster\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2016\/08\/trapezoid_angle.jpg\" alt=\"trapezoid_angle\" width=\"448\" height=\"420\" data-id=\"1380\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wp.optics.arizona.edu\/milster\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2016\/08\/trapezoid_angle.jpg 448w, https:\/\/wp.optics.arizona.edu\/milster\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2016\/08\/trapezoid_angle-300x281.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Number of Coefficients:<\/h3>\n<p>Number of Coefficients to use in the Fourier Transform.
