The layer parameters are associated with the currently selected layer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>N Reference<\/strong> Not Important. Should be 1.0.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Z-Step<\/strong> Distance (MKS) of the propagation steps that subdivide a layer. The simplest setting is Z-Step = Z-Total if the layer thickness is much less than a wavelength<\/li>\n<li><strong>Z-Total<\/strong> Total thickness (MKS) of the layer<\/li>\n<li><strong>GrowFac<\/strong> This is a command option that allows a magnification\/demagnification of the spatial scale between successive steps. It is only used in special cases. Usually it is set so that GrowFac = 1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>The Layer Tools :<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1207\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.optics.arizona.edu\/milster\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2016\/08\/layermanager_panel.tools_.gif\" alt=\"layermanager_panel.tools\" width=\"220\" height=\"150\" data-id=\"1207\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Layer Manager Panel offers three (3) tools:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1198\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.optics.arizona.edu\/milster\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2016\/08\/layermanager_panel.import_list.gif\" alt=\"layermanager_panel.import_list\" width=\"121\" height=\"23\" data-id=\"1198\" \/>\u00a0&#8211; Imports a previously created layer list.<\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1197\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.optics.arizona.edu\/milster\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2016\/08\/layermanager_panel.import_layer.gif\" alt=\"layermanager_panel.import_layer\" width=\"121\" height=\"23\" data-id=\"1197\" \/> &#8211; Imports a previously created layer.<\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1201\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.optics.arizona.edu\/milster\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2016\/08\/layermanager_panel.new_layer.gif\" alt=\"layermanager_panel.new_layer\" width=\"121\" height=\"23\" data-id=\"1201\" \/>\u00a0&#8211; Creates a new layer. For example, the mll object uses the first three parameters as Dill&#8217;s A, B, C parameters that describe photoresist exposure and inhibitor concentration.
