Congrats to Zhouyang Min (former undergraduate and now research technician in our group) on accepting an offer to attend Duke University in the Fall.

Judith has been elected to full membership in Sigma Xi, the scientific research honor society.

Judith will be presenting on Identifying and detecting diseases prior to physical presentation of symptoms at the 5th Annual Arizona Biomedical Research Center-Flinn Research Conference on February 26th at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.

Congrats to Adley and Cheng for winning awards at Photonics West. Adley won the AIM Photonics Best Student Talk Award for an outstanding paper on “Label-free ultrasensitive detection of Amyloid-β using microtoroid resonators with lipid surface functionalization” and Cheng won the Prizmatix Young Investigator Award for an outstanding paper on “Particle shape analysis using whispering gallery mode polarization sensing”.
