For a short while I was doing some paintings using black ink. I like the look of the strong black against vibrant color. The design came about by arranging flat shapes against each other and the colors are those I love. I rarely use figures in my paintings but I may try more of them along this line as I like the way this one developed. This painting was in the Annual Show of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild in 1994.
