This painting was in the Arizona Aqueous Exhibition in 1990 and was in a travel show of the Arizona Commission on the Arts through June, 1991. This image originated as an abstract sketch, a technique I have used often. Each color area in the painting has been flooded with water and the paint has been dropped in and allowed to settle as it wants. The design is controlled but at the same time the paint is very juicy.
