Taught 2016-Present. This course is taught in the fall and is intended for graduate students. It covers the interaction of light with objects smaller than the optical wavelength. The course focuses on the fundamental electromagnetic interactions in these systems and the hot topics in nanophotonics over the past two decades. Less emphasis is placed on device engineering or integration.
